Today, 24th Feb 2021, Motera stadium is renamed as Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium,
and inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind, ahead of the 3rd Test match between,
India and England. The much-awaited pink-ball test cricket match between,
India and England in Ahmedabad, along with a surprise in the cricket world,
witnessing as “Motera stadium” renamed, as the “Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium”.
Inauguration at the venue of the 3rd test, a match between the two teams has
been performed by President Ram Nath Kovind. This is a very special day for,
Indian Cricket fans as Motera is been admired as the world`s largest cricket stadium,
with a capacity of 1,10,000 spectators.
This new stadium is recently revamped to host the very first international
match between India and England. To the fore, of the first day`s play,
the “Bhumi Pujan” of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel sports,
enclave in Ahmedabad is performed by President Ram Nath Kovind and his wife.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, sports minister Kiren Rijiju, and Gujarat
Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, all are present to witness the grand occasion.
